Infants - Birth to 18 months

Wonderful child care memories start in our infant room.Our infants are cared for by loving, friendly, enthusiastic, and responsive caregivers in a calm, bright, happy environment. Their daily needs are addressed with positivity and responsiveness. Engagement between infant and caregiver is evident throughout the day, whether during diaper changes, feedings, rest time, planned activities or free play.Infants are talked to about what they are seeing and experiencing thus encouraging their vocabulary development. Songs are frequently sung and soothing music is played during naps. There is plenty of cuddle time and infants are given lots of individualized attention.Parents are kept up to date with documentation detailing feeding times and amounts, diaper changes, sleep times, and activities that occurred each day. The staff is responsive to each parent's concerns and suggestions and your child's achievements are joyfully shared.Our room is a safe and interesting atmosphere offering age appropriate toys, bouncers, child sized furniture and soft climbing structures. Your child's happiness and comfort is our first priority as we provide children with a safe and supportive program.

Toddlers - 18 months to 30 months

Toddlers experiment with tools and learn to manipulate objects. They learn to solve simple problems they encounter in their environment. Children learn best when they can play, explore the world and interact with adults and peers. Play is the platform for inquiry and exploration. We provide a balance of opportunities for the child to figure out how the world works and how to overcome challenges, with the support to allow children to practice and develop skills that promote children's growing autonomy and cooperation. We continue to encourage families' involvement in their children's early learning and development. We strive to foster a sense of belonging and acceptance where every child experiences a feeling of being valued by others. In doing so, we are continuing to develop relationships with families that enable children to enjoy and benefit from early learning opportunities.

Pre-school - 30 months to 4 years old

In preschool much of children's learning involves social interactions. We are learning about friendship, helping others and developing empathy. Preschoolers are gaining experience playing and working cooperatively, following classroom rules and taking the lead by directing their learning.Children are constructively engaged in purposeful play providing opportunities to challenge themselves, with the support of their teachers. Our classroom community embraces children's individuality, encouraging self awareness as they develop self help skills and gain confidence in their abilities. Their knowledge and comfort in group care prepares them well for Kindergarten.
